Revealed: S*x Between Female Students and Teachers In Nigerian Universities (Photo)

In many ways, Nigerian institutions of higher
learning are no different from other such
institutions around the world: They are
confronted with several contending issues
such as budget cuts, plagiarism, cheating
during exams, alteration of data by researchers, unhealthy rivalry and tension
between faculty members and between
faculty and administration and between
students and other echelons. These are
constants within the academic community. And of course there is the issue of séxual
relationship between some students and
some of their teachers, and between some
students and some members of the
administrative staff… To be sure, there is not a teaching and
learning institution anywhere in the world
where such — séx between students and
faculty and between students and staff — is
not a concern. None! What makes the
Nigerian context different is the propensity, the frequency and the severity of the
aforementioned.Parents send their children
to school to learn, no to be harassed and
séxually molested. Young men and women
come to school to learn and learn how to be
contributing members of their immediate and global society. They go to school to learn
to be good citizens, good human beings.
They go to school to develop many skills –
including critical thinking skill. And though
many show up in all their naiveté and
gullibility, still, it is not a reason or an excuse for them to be taken advantage of. Sadly,
these are some of the horrors that happen to
many Nigerian students, especially the
girls.Sadder is the fact that millions of girls
and young women are being abused and
exploited on a daily basis. Many are denied their human and civil rights. Many have no
access to education, to medical care, or to a
caring home and environment. They are the
“wretched of the earth.” While there are
some shining examples within the Nigerian
sisterhood, there could have been several millions more if the Nigerian society had
taken its female population more seriously.
But we don’t! For the most part, and in many
settings, women are things, objects – things
and objects to ignore or séxualise. Thinking about it now, I cannot remember
which came first: the súgar daddy syndrome
or the séxual exploitation of students by staff
and faculty members (sometimes referred to
as “Bush allowance”). Long before politicians
became conquerors and rulers of the maiden and their honey jars — and long before
military officers freely roamed the séxual
landscape — súgar daddies were the kings. Súgar daddies paraded and patronised
UNILAG, UNIBEN, BUK, UNIPORT, ABU,
UI and every Nigerian university and
polytechnic and college of education. And in
some cases, they snuck into secondary
schools and in the process committed r*pe and alarming perversions. Today, the larger
Nigerian society does not worry itself with
what was initially an aberration. It is now a
given. Basically, súgardaddism has now
become a practice, part of our cultural
milieu. Tell me: How many women, 17-37 years old,
do you know who do not have one or two
moneybags as a lover or séx mate? I am sure
there are. But they can’t be that many.
Poverty and unemployment and the general
state of confusion and hopelessness have greatly contributed to the mental and
psychical anarchy that now characterises the
country. In the minds of many, the kingdom
of God can wait. Money is the new paradise.
You either have it or you don’t. In many
enclaves, if you don’t have it, you don’t matter, you don’t count! No matter how you look at it, séx between a
student and a teacher or an administrator
cannot be considered a relationship. This is
so because there is an element of abuse and
exploitation involved. What’s more, many
students – especially secondary school and undergraduates — who are so abused and
taken advantage of, may suffer psychological
and physical damage. As many universities in the western world
have come to understand, there is “power
imbalance between the parties” that makes
such a liaison unsound and injurious. The
University of Connecticut’s Board of
Trustees recently voted against “séxual interactions between students and
professors.” Similar measures are in place in
many universities. One does not know what the policies are in
Nigerian universities and other institutions
of higher learning. What seems clear – very
clear – is that a whole lot of r*pe and abuse
and exploitation and blackmail are taking
place. But really, the complaints are just too many: teachers who demand séx for better
class grade and other favours; and teachers
who pimp students for financial and non-
financial gains. Séx-for-grade or grade-for-
séx is indeed a mess, an epidemic that’s been
threatening, along with other vexing issues, Nigeria’s educational environment. To whom do aggrieved female students lodge
complaints when many of those in positions
of authority are committing the same or
similar offence? Do you complain to the
Vice-Chancellor, the Dean, the Head of the
Department, or to the Faculty Senate? I do not mean to say that the entire rank and file
of the Nigerian academics is guilty of these
abuses and exploitation. No, not at all! But
the fact is that the number of those involved
in such inhumanity outweighs the innocent
and pious ones. Are there cases where female students
lodged false protests against innocent
teachers? Yes, of course! Are there cases
where rival teachers used séx to trap and
blackmail other teachers? Yes, of course!
And are there cases where female students séxually pursued their teachers? Yes,
without a doubt! But such incidences are
small, very small. In the end, I wonder if there are academic
studies that gauge the impact of séx-for-
grade on our educational system, and how
they impact the lives of our young women.
Even so, these practices and transgressions
cannot be good for the country’s culture and educational system. It could be that these
injuries cannot be wiped out, but they can be
substantially minimised. No one sends his or her daughter to school
to be abused and exploited by depraved
minds. Consequently, the learning
environment should be a safe and enriching
one for all. No society can be great and
prosperous if that society refuses to treat her women population with love, respect and
dignity. A healthy learning-teaching
environment is a human and civil right for all
— especially for our young women.

Government’s funding of mass weddings becoming popular

Mass wedding
Mass wedding
Funding of “mass weddings” by state governments appears to be gathering popular appeal in Northern Nigeria.
In 2010, the Yobe State Governor, Ibrahim Geidam, offered to sponsor weddings, which were contracted in a particular mosque every Friday in his state. In Kano State, mass weddings are regularly funded by government to address the high incident of widowhood.
And now, the Sokoto State Government has earmarked N30 million to sponsor a mass wedding exercise, a pilot programme that would become a quarterly event after the first edition is held within the next fortnight.
The details of the sponsorship includes the screening and selection of 120 males and 120 females, according to the Commissioner for Youth and Social Welfare, Alhaji Zubairu Yaro Goronyo. Government would pay the N20,000 bride prices, while the grooms will be given N20,000 “take-off” grants.
The couples will also benefit from the donation of bedding materials, a set of furniture, two wrappers for each of the brides as well as 10 yards of brocade for each of the grooms. The primary reason always cited for this mislaid magnanimity is the need to curb social vices such as fornication and adultery.
We see this as a gross misplacement of priorities and misapplication of government funds to dabble into matters of private concern of individual citizens. It is obvious that those being targeted for this strange social largess fall into poor, perhaps, even destitute citizens.
They do not need to be encouraged to carry the burden of starting families at government expense. How long will government continue to spoon-feed such couples after the government handout is exhausted?
These people do not need to be given fish. They need to be taught how to fish. They need capacity building or skill acquisition and assistance to start their own businesses, trades or profitable economic activities, which will enable them to make money. They can then marry and settle down.
Government should channel the handouts to building human capacity in both the needy male and female groups. That is the civilised and sensible way of tackling social problems.
Besides, who says that people always engage in fornication and adultery because they are not married? How much are the various governments willing to spend to curb adultery among married people, especially the men who abandon their wives at home in search of new “conquests”?
Government’s funding of weddings is a wasteful way of spending federal allocation, which is meant to help in the even development of the country. It is like government sponsorship of pilgrimages, which many governments are now gradually backing away from.
It is this manner of frittering away public funds that results in unmanageably high population, mass poverty and destitution, which are prevalent in those same societies.

How Actress Onyii Alex Snatched Tonto Dikeh’s Rich Lover

Actress Onyii Alex Snatched Tonto Dikeh’s Rich Lover
Sexy actress and one of the hottest babes in Nollywood, Onyii Alex is heavily pregnant and expecting a love child with her multi-millionaire Igbo lover who already has a wife, Mr Promise, whom she allegedly snatched from controversial actress, Tonto Dikeh.
Aside the pregnancy wahala, another challenge facing Onyii is the fact that she’s been living in hiding since her pregnancy came into the open. A reliable insider told Showbizplus that Mr Promise’s wife is looking for the actress who got pregnant for her husband and has threatened to deal ruthlessly with Onyii whenever or wherever their paths crossed, no matter her condition…
In order to avoid the impending wrath of the enraged and betrayed house wife, Onyii’s lover boy who always spoils her silly with money, has whisked her abroad for safety and safe delivery, pending when frayed nerves are calmed, from his wife and Tonto Dikeh’s side.
Surprisingly, Tonto, whom Onyii snatched Mr Promise from, is also threatening fire and brimstone. Those close to the bitter actress said she has vowed to deal with Onyii for snatching her rich “mugu”.
Below is what a close source told ShowBizPlus:
“Forget that story of Tonto wanting to commit suicide over the media intrusion into her privacy. The real cause was Onyii, who snatched her rich sugar daddy Promise, thus leaving her high and dry.
“The separation with Promise, which was caused by Alex, whom Promise dumped Tonto for upon meeting her on a location around Festac, remains one of the saddest chapters in Tonto’s life. And I’m sure she has not gotten over it full time. She is still sulking.”

Over 300 Gunmen Storm Plateau State Village, Kill 5 People, Burn 200 Houses

Plateau State Village Clashes
Plateau State Village Clashes
Renewed clashes in Plateau have reportedly left 5 persons dead and not less than 200 homes destroyed.
The incident occurred yesterday in Kuka village within the Shendam Local Government Area of the state.
The violence was attributed to conflicts between the Tarok community in Langtang South Local Government and the Gomai community of Shendam Local Government.
According to reports, over 300 attackers stormed Kuka village with sophisticated weapons shooting and burning houses.
Shendam is in the southern part of the state and about 300 kilometres from Jos.
A resident, Abdullahi Ragmin, who is Gommai, confirmed that the attackers burnt 200 houses and shot five persons.
He listed the victims as: Malam Inuwa (60), Yakubu Kaura (43), Alhassan Abdullahi (50), Abdullahi Dungu (35).
Abdurrahman, he said, sustained a fractured arm and Musa dan Union was shot in the abdomen.
It was gathered that the attackers outnumbered the policemen at Kuka.
The attackers allegedly burnt houses and mosque and shot at people but 30 minutes later military reinforcement came from Taraba State, which borders Kuka.
Police spokesman Felicia Anslem confirmed the incident.
She said five people were killed when the attackers stormed the village.
But the Media and Information Officer, Special Task Force (STF) on Jos crises, ‘operation Safe Haven’, Capt Salisu Mustapha, confirmed two deaths.
He said: “The attackers were estimated to be about 100, they burnt houses but they were repelled. Calm has returned.”

Nigerian Senator Ali Who Owns 4 Planes, Buys N11 Billion Private Jet

Senator Ali Modu Sherrif
Former Borno state governor, Senator Ali Modu Sherrif has added another airplane to his fleet with his latest acquisition being a new Gulfstream jet G650 model that cost him an estimated $72 million (N11.5 billion) and topped the chart of top 10 private jet owners in Nigeria.

Registered in Dubai with special specifications, the aircraft is the fourth in his fleet, as he already has three old Dornier aircraft which he acquired from Aero Contractors at an estimated $3 million (N480 million).

The actions of the former governor, who has been alleged to fund the terrorist Boko Haram sect in North-eastern Nigeria, on the new aircraft, has been described by a Nigerian pilot as unpatriotic.

According to him, by registering the aircraft overseas, Sheriff had denied Nigeria taxes and import duty on the aircraft.

No Nigerian pilot or engineer would also be employed to operate or work on the aircraft because with the foreign registration, only pilots and engineers licensed in the United Arab Emirates would be authorised to operate and service the aircraft.

“By registering the aircraft overseas, he has avoided tax and import duty, which he should pay to a country where he is a citizen and from which he made the money which he now spends on a foreign crew,” he said.

According to US-based Forbes magazine, the Gulfstream G650 has an order book of 200 customers throughout the world.

Gulfstream described the aircraft as ultra-high-speed, ultra-long-range business jet and the gold standard in business aviation.

The model was introduced in 2008 with a capacity for eight passengers and a crew of four on nonstop legs of 7,000 nautical miles (12,964 km) for standard configuration.

“That means it will link Dubai with New York and London with Buenos Aires. With its powerful Rolls-Royce BR725 engines, the G650 will cover shorter distances at a speed of Mach 0.925.

No traditional business jet will take you closer to the speed of sound,” Gulfstream said on its website.

Children at Light of Hope Orphanage who are being s*xually abused by the Director cry out for help - Video

Light of Hope Orphanage
Children in Light of Hope Orphanage are being sexually abused by the Director of the Orphanage (who they call ‘Pastor,’ but at this point, we don’t care!) Mr Atunde. Two children from the orphanage reported that Mr Atunde had sexually abused them for more than 3 years.
The man was arrested and the children taken out of the orphanage. The case is presently in court, but it seems like nothing is being done. Barely two weeks after Project Alert, an organization advocating against violence against women and girls, took the girls in their shelter, the Ogun State government returned the girls back to the (abusive) shelter on some baseless reasons.
Mr Tunde, who sexually abuses these girls in his orphanage has been granted bail (by who?) and is now punishing these girls for speaking out.
This sexual abuser walks free, while the Ogun State Government Ministry of Women Affairs is quite about the case. Project Alert has asked us to help with creating more awareness about the case and we implore you
to help us in this fight for JUSTICE! WATCH VIDEO HERE
