Happy new mommy Jo Short displays her “miracle child” Emily– born after an agonizing

Jo aged 37 seemed like giving up on her ever having to start a family until innovation surgical procedure.
She claimed:
“I questioned why I always miscarried — was I drinking too much tea or too much caffeine? I’d beat myself up about eating an apple that wasn’t washed.”
Jo, of Newport, Gwent, and her financial institution manager spouse Steve, 38, began trying to have an infant in 1997, a year after they met.
She had her first miscarriage that year– and throughout the trying times to come, lots of specialists gave up on her hopes of a kid.
Jo is among 1.5 million women in the UK that struggle with endometriosis, a gynaecological condition that typically leaves victims unable to have children.
She was informed of pioneering surgery by Cardiff consultant Richard Penketh. He did the four-hour function– which involved cutting away scar tissue triggered by the disorder– in 2012.
Within 2 months she was expecting for the 20th time. When it was time for delivery and labour pains started, she refused all forms of pain killers for worry of it hurt the infant.
Finally, she had this to say:
“Being a mum is wonderful, everything I expected and more. It is what we’d wanted for so long.”
