Gunmen Attack Primary School In Kumbotso Local Government Of Kano State

The Police in Kano state have confirmed that gunmen riding on motorcycles on Tuesday morning attacked a primary school in Kumbotso Local Government of Kano state, wounding three staff members.

The gunmen were said to have struck Danmaliki primary school between 9:30am and 10:00am while pupils were in class. Two teachers and the headmaster were wounded.

The teachers have been treated and discharged but the police say the headmaster is still receiving medical attention at the Aminu Kano Hospital.

A source in Kano says the Joint Task Force (JTF) have arrived the area and conducting a search.

An eyewitness says the situation created panic as pupils and other teachers fled the school into nearby bushes for safety.
