For the 700 pupils of Community Primary School, New
London, Baruwa, Lagos State, Wednesday will always remain a day to
remember in their lifetimes.
It was the day the Redeemed Christian Church of God,
Jesus Ambassadors Assembly Area, Lagos Province 12, Baruwa, donated
exercise books worth thousands of naira to them.
The elated pupils praised the parish as they and their teachers sang songs of praises for close to one hour for the gifts.
Assistant Provincial Pastor in charge of the
province’s corporate social responsibility, Tayo Abiodun, said the
exercise books were to assist the parents, a majority of whom were
indigent.
“This is just the beginning. In time to come, when we identify other needs of the pupils, we will support them,” Abiodun said.
He advised the pupils as leaders of tomorrow to face their studies and imbibe values that would promote the good of the society.
Parish Pastor, Akin Akinwunmi, said the church would
continue to positively affect the lives of the people in its host
community.
Head Teacher, BCPS, Mrs. Georginna Aluwele, commended the church, saying the exercise books came at the right time.
