Vehicles were held up for hours on the
Lagos- Ibadan Expressway following the flooding of the long bridge after
a downpour, which started in the early hours of Thursday.
A passenger in a commercial vehicle, Mr. Adeyemi Samson, said the bus was stranded for at least two hours.
He said, “There is a need for the
government to find a lasting solution to the road as it causes so much
harm to the people travelling on it regularly.”
Another motorist, Mr. Femi Taiwo, said,
“I have been on this road for the past one and half hour and the traffic
is still not moving.
“That is how we experience different problems on this road almost every time, all is due to the fact that this road is bad.”He however advised the Federal Government to fix the road to ensure smooth journey for the road users.
