This child will be a risk to you not just us’ an anti-Islamic state activist wrote as he posted this photo on Twitter on Sunday night. The sick photo shows the newborn baby sleeping next to a handgun, hand grenade and an Islamic State birth certificate.

The image was posted through the twitter account of Abu Ward Al-Raqqawi an anti-Islamic State activist in Syria, in the hope of garnering attention to the international threat posed by ISIS.

The post said the newborn child is called ‘Jrah’, while his mothers name is ‘Om’ and his fathers name is ‘Abu.’ It also claimed the certificate next to the baby is an ‘ISIS issued ID for a child’. The activist was trying to send a message but the photo has angered millions of people around the world.

Nigerian girl kidnapped and sold by her cousin to pimps in Libya has been freed

Precious Nwaigwe, the 15 year old Nigerian student who was kdinapped and sold to some pimps in Libya by her maternal cousin in connivance with some  Niger republic kidnappers has been freed and returned to Lagos. According to new reports by Punch, the maternal cousin and some suspects were arrested a while back and after much drilling and interrogation, one of the suspects, Kevin Kizito gave out a number which was called and he spoke to his accomplice, telling them to release the little girl as their game was up.

A police officer who spoke on condition of anonymity, confirmed the return of the little girl
“This Kelvin had been arrested for some time now, and he had been reluctant to release information. But he was made to undergo some serious interrogations and drillings, and afterwards, he said he should be allowed access to a phone. When he was given the phone, he called one of his people and told them to release the girl because the game was up. The girl was released from Libya and on Friday she arrived in Lagos. She was dropped off at Obalende.”the police source said

Blessing, a student of the Ikenne Community College in Ikenne Ogun state had come to Lagos to spend her holiday with her father at his home in Ajah and was on her way back to school when she was kidnapped on May 24th 2014.

UniAbuja shut indefinitely as students protest

The Governing Council of the University of Abuja have ordered the shutdown of the school indefinitely
It was reported that as the #BringBackOurExams protest was heating up, some students that were still within the school mini campus were chased out and the school put under lock and key.
It wasn’t a different story in the hostels at the mini campus as students were also ordered to leave and tear gas canisters was fired into the air making the whole atmosphere unbearable.
At themain campus of the school, a notice has been placed in all departments and hostels ordering every student to leave the school compound immediately.
At press time, students were packing their luggage preparing to leaving while many had left since the beginning of the strike action

Luis Suarez Finally Speaks On Biting Giorgio Chiellini

Uruguay’s top striker, Luis Suarez has finally spoken on his alleged biting of Giorgio Chiellini in the match between Italy and Uruguay at the ongoing 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.

The Liverpool striker was caught on camera biting the Italy defender during the match the South Americans won 1-0 courtesy of a solitary goal scored by Diego Godin.

While commenting on the incident in an interview conducted by local reporters after his country’s win which took them through to the knockout rounds, Suares played down the latest incident as ‘just something that happens on the pitch’.

The player who plays in the English Premier League, and who has twice been banned for biting an opponent, said: “These situations arise on the pitch, I’ve collided with his shoulder. It drove me a little crazy too, but these things happen on the pitch. There’s no need to make a story out of it.”

Football governing body, FIFA has confirmed disciplinary proceedings have been opened against the Uruguayan forward, who could be banned for up to two year over the incident.

Meanwhile, many football fans and pundits are united in their view Suarez should receive a lengthy ban for yet another apparent biting offence.

Former England defender Danny Mills has gone a step further – insisting the Uruguayan should be ‘thrown in jail and locked up forever’.

He said: “It has to be the longest ban in football ever. A worldwide ban, not just an international ban,’ he said.

‘It is the third time it has happened and it is a clear bite this time, in a tournament of this magnitude, the most watched tournament in the world. They have got to throw him in jail and lock him up forever.”

Man runs over pregnant wife with ‘Keke Napep’ as he was caught kissing mistress

It’s an odd world we live in! A man identifed as Kingdom Ike, an Imo state resident reportedly used his tricycle to run over his PREGNANT wife, Njideka because she caught him kissing and cuddling his mistress in their matrimonial home! A witness revealed that the whole trouble started when the the pregnant wife of the cheating husband returned from her village, unfortunately for her she ran into her hubby and his mistress all loved up and when she was about to inquire what he was doing with his mistress in their matrimonial home, Ike jumped on his tricycle and ran her over. The man was said to have dragged the woman who was hooked to the side of the tricycle few kilometres before she was rescued. It was also gathered that the pregnant woman was taken to a nearby clinic by a good Samaritan for treatment of the injuries she sustained during the incident. Meanwhile, the husband was said to have fled with his mistress after the incident.

Newspaper Editor Killed In Abuja Mall Bomb Blast (PHOTOS OF SCENE)

Yesterday’s shopping mall blast took the life of New Telegraph’s managing editor, Suleiman Bisala and 20 other people.

Bisala recently joined New Telegraph as managing editor (North) from Daily Trust Newspaper.

According to The Cable, he had gone to Emab Plaza to repair a faulty mobile phone when he was caught in the blast. His passing has been confirmed with deep sadness by a senior member of staff of New Telegraph which is owned by former Abia Governor Orji Uzor Kalu.

The Coordinator, National Information Centre, Mr Mike Omeri, said on Wednesday, June 25, 2014 that soldiers killed one of the suspected bombers of EMAB Plaza in Abuja and arrested another, News Agency of Nigeria reports.

Omeri told newsmen in Abuja that the attackers came on a power bike and planted an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) by the entrance of the shopping mall.

He also confirmed the death of 21 persons and 17 others injured in the blast which also damaged several vehicles.
